Mobile Connection Management Solution Enables Ease-Of-Access for Road Runner Mobile Subscribers
In December of 2009, Smith Micro announced a joint venture with Time Warner Cable, one of the nation's top providers of information and entertainment communications. Through this collaboration, Smith Micro will deliver a customized version of its innovative QuickLink Mobile technology, offering Time Warner Cable customers a convenient connectivity solution for the new "Road Runner Mobile" wireless data service.
In rolling out its new 4G wireless service, Time Warner Cable sought a powerful mobile connection management solution to enable the greatest possible ease-of-access for Road Runner Mobile subscribers. Ultimately, Time Warner Cable chose Smith Micro's flexible QuickLink Mobile technology to enable their subscribers to easily and reliably access the Road Runner wireless broadband network from their mobile devices.
Smith Micro's patented software technologies allow for seamless navigation through various wireless networks. The mobile connection management solution, customized for Time Warner Cable, will support 4G mobile WiMAX, 3G CDMA EV-DO and WiFi networks, offering the greatest possible flexibility
for Road Runner Mobile subscribers, even across a variety of mobile devices and data cards. WiMAX is currently the fastest wireless network available in North America.
According to Mike Roudi, the Group Vice President of Wireless Services for Time Warner Cable, the company's ultimate goal is to provide its customers with comprehensive "access to any content at any time, from any device, anywhere." Time Warner believes that this new multimode connection manager from Smith Micro will provide customers with the most compelling user experience possible, due in part to the software's ability to seamlessly navigate through various wireless networks and effortlessly select a network based on user preferences.
Smith Micro has now distributed over 100 million licensed copies of its QuickLink-branded connectivity products. The solution delivered to Time Warner Cable builds on this experience and reflects Smith Micro's continuing effort to advance its Connectivity Plus solutions in pursuit of a dynamic, wireless world.

New Universal Connection Management Solution Significantly Improves Dell's Control Point Software
In October of 2009, Smith Micro Software, Inc. and Dell, Inc. announced a joint venture. Having examined the portfolios and capabilities of numerous mobile connection management software companies, Dell concluded that Smith Micro offered the most compelling solution. Smith Micro began working to streamline Dell's mobile connectivity management. The ultimate result was the delivery of a universal management software system that significantly improved Dell's ControlPoint software included in their E-Family notebooks.
Smith Micro's Universal Mobile Connection Manager application made it simple for Dell users to monitor and control from within the Dell ControlPoint system all forms of connectivity including 3G and 4G mobile broadband (even
