Hires Andrew C. Schmidt as New Chief Financial Officer
ALISO VIEJO, CA - Smith Micro Software Inc. (NASDAQ: SMSI), a developer and marketer of a wide range of software and services for the wireless market, is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew C. Schmidt as its new Chief Financial Officer, replacing Robert Scheussler, who will remain at the company as a consultant to assist it in the assessment, documentation and testing of its internal controls over financial reporting processes to help with the Sarbanes-Oxley effort. Mr. Schmidt comes to Smith Micro from Genius Products, Inc., a publicly held multimedia entertainment company located in San Diego. Prior to Genius he held several executive financial positions.
