GDPR Compliance

The European Union General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) comes into effect on May 25, 2018.  This regulation enhances data privacy protections for European Union citizens and establishes a unified set of requirements for any company that processes personal data of EU citizens.

Smith Micro Software, Inc. (“Smith Micro”) is committed to high standards of information security and data privacy and to processing data in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to GDPR.  We are committed to achieving GDPR compliance by May 25, 2018 and to maintaining compliance thereafter. In furtherance of those aims, we may from time to time update our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.  These updates will be posted to our website at www.smithmicro.com.

In the meantime, we continue to adhere to the principles of the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the US Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information from European Union member countries.
