Smith Micro Launches 7th Annual Charity Program Benefiting Children's Charities

Proceeds from "Kids First" Campaign to Raise Funds for Children Worldwide

ALISO VIEJO, CA - Smith Micro Software Inc. (NASDAQ: SMSI), a leading developer and marketer of innovative software solutions and services for the wireless market, today announced beginning September 11, 2007, the company will be donating $1 of every sale via the company websites (, and to children charities over the next 30 days. This year Smith Micro's 7th Annual Charity Campaign "Kids First" will raise funds for KIDPOWER and Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Orange County and the Inland Empire.

"In the past year, we have granted 300 wishes and in the coming year we will grant 300 more as we begin celebrating our 25th year. It is with the help of community partners such as Smith Micro Software that we are able to grant wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions".

This year's event will be held from September 11th - October 11th, 2007 and marks the seventh consecutive year that Smith Micro raised money for various charitable causes. Previous fundraising efforts have included support to fight Parkinson's disease, Lupus, breast cancer and aid to victims of Hurricane Katrina.
