Oct 14, 1998
Supplier of turnkey computer and Internet services will offer Smith Micro's new all-in-one Internet communications software to customers

ALISO VIEJO, CA - Smith Micro Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: SMSI) today announced that it has signed a new software bundling agreement with WebCreators Internet Services, Inc., a supplier of turnkey business computer and Internet services based in California. WebCreators will provide Smith Micro's new Internet CommSuiteTM communications software as a value-added solution to both new and exist-ing customers.

Internet CommSuite is a new all-in-one Internet communications package that merges multiple Web communications into one user-friendly package. Internet CommSuite enables users to phone, fax, video phone, send audio and video e-mail and conduct other interactive activities over the Internet - with a single piece of communications software.

WebCreators views Internet CommSuite as a breakthrough Internet communications solution that will save its customers both time and money. WebCreators plans to offer Internet CommSuite as a stand-alone product for Internet faxing and Internet phone, and bundled with a video capture card, sound card and camera for Internet video phone and multimedia e-mail. "We chose to bundle Smith Micro's Internet CommSuite because it provides a single source for all Internet communication needs in one very elegant package," said Dave VanderVeer, Founder and President of WebCreators Internet Services. "It is a comprehensive communications suite that we believe will enable our customers to achieve huge savings in their overall communications costs."

"Internet CommSuite is an ideal solution for WebCreators' customers, because it provides them with advanced Web-based communications features," said Rod Lippincott, Smith Micro's Senior Product Marketing Manager. "We are very pleased to be working with WebCreators, and see their adoption of Internet CommSuite as yet another important endorsement for this exciting new product."

Internet CommSuite gives users the software capabilities to talk for free over the Internet, place video phone calls, send Internet faxes that bypass long-distance phone charges, create audio or audio/video e-mails, use an Internet answering machine, and more. All functions are activated from a single-click, easy-to-use software interface that resembles a TV remote control. The software is optimized for new broadband technologies like cable and xDSL, as well as traditional analog modems.
