Value-Added Technology Marketing Firm to Provide Entry for Smith Micro's Wireless

ALISO VIEJO, CA -- Aliso Viejo, CA - The Wireless & Broadband Division of Smith Micro Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: SMSI), a developer and marketer of a wide range of software and service solutions for the wireless and broadband market, announced today it has named QHP Systems, Inc. as the company's exclusive sales representative in the Peoples Republic of China (the Agreement excludes Taiwan). QHP Systems, Inc. is a technology sales and marketing firm with extensive exposure to the Chinese market. The U.S.-based QHP Systems, with sales offices in Beijing and Shanghai, will utilize its knowledge of Chinese markets to promote Smith Micro's wireless & broadband products to Chinese companies.

QHP Systems specializes in the IT and communications market segments, especially in wireless, computer networking and broadband connection solutions. It offers Chinese customers a number of services including application integration and support, vendor product customization, and product searches, as well as strategic procurement and market analysis.

Smith Micro's Wireless & Broadband Division will offer a full range of products and services to Chinese customers via its relationship with QHP. Among the division's leading products are:

  • QuickLink Mobile, a popular connectivity kit that enables users of notebook and PDA's to access the Internet while on the road via a cable connection to their mobile phone;
  • QuickLink Phone Manager, a software solution which allows mobile phone users to easily transfer phonebook information to and from any PC; and
  • Video Link Mail - VideoLink Mail (U.S. Patent No. 6,014,689) allows users to send full-motion video and audio messages with their existing e-mail package to any Windows user in the world
