Miami-Based Strategic Technologies Will Use Internet CommSuite as a Value-Added Enhancement to its Data Cable Offerings

ALISO VIEJO, CA - Smith Micro Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: SMSI) announced today that Miami-based cable TV provider Strategic Technologies, Inc. (STI) will bundle Smith Micro's Internet CommSuiteTM software application as a value-added enhancement to its data cable service offerings. STI's customers will receive the all-in-one Internet communications package directly from, an Atlanta-based cable service company that originally entered into a marketing partnership with Smith Micro in October of 1998.

This new bundling arrangement provides STI's customers with access to a fully-integrated Internet communications package that will enable data cable subscribers to capitalize on the performance advantages offered by high-speed cable modems. With Internet CommSuite, subscribers will be able to easily add audio and video to their e-mails, phone and fax via PC over the Internet, bypassing long distance phone company charges. Customers will also be able to conduct video phone calls, add sound and full-motion video to their chat sessions, and more. The benefit of Internet CommSuite is that it brings all these functions together under a single interface, eliminating the need to buy, install and learn different programs.
