ALISO VIEJO, CA--Smith Micro Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: SMSI) announced today that it has expanded its international operations by establishing presence in both Europe and Australia. The company initiated these expansion efforts specifically to address the increasing demand within those markets for PC communications software solutions.
At the helm of the new European operation is Smith Micro's European Sales Manager, Mr. Jean-Marie Zufferey. Formerly Vice President of Sales of Trio Communications, a European based communications software supplier, Mr. Zufferey speaks six different languages, and also has established relationships with leading OEM and retail vendors as well as major Internet Service Providers in France, Italy, Germany, United Kingdom, and Spain.

Jean-Marie and other members of Smith Micro's European operation will be demonstrating the company's line of communications software products at the CeBIT Show in Hanover, Germany from March 19 through the 25th.
Leading the Australian operation is Smith Micro's Sales Manager for Australia, Mr. Glenn Houssenloge, a technology industry professional previously Distribution Channel Manager for Banksia, the leading modem vendor in Australia. Mr. Houssenloge will apply his proven PC communications experience to expand Smith Micro's presence in Australia, and will also be responsible for launching the company's product line in New Zealand.
