Agreement Reaffirms Brother's Commitment to Bundle Smith Micro's Software with Their Products
ALISO VIEJO, CA--Smith Micro Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: SMSI) announced today that they have signed an agreement that extends its current OEM relationship with Brother International for an additional two years. The multi- million dollar contract secures Brother's commitment to continue to bundle a customized version of Smith Micro's QuickLink Message Center software with Brother's current multifunction products as well as future introductions.

Brother will continue to bundle Smith Micro's MultiFunction Link Pro, a customized version QuickLink Message Center. The product is a sophisticated fax and voice communications package that combines the latest in fax technologies, with the ease of Windows point-and-click operation, to provide a versatile fax application. It includes technology provided by Info Imaging called 3D FaxFile which provides 50:1 compression of fax information in order to reduce phone time. QuickLink MessageCenter also provides extensive logging and fax management capabilities and support for a number of connectivity options.

Under the terms of the agreement , both companies agree to a two-year extension on the current relationship with a one-year exclusive guarantee. In addition, Brother and Smith Micro will work together on various joint-marketing efforts including point-of-purchase (POP) materials and user upgrade promotions.
