Vidio XTP begins by capturing telepresence videoconferencing sessions and delivering immersive, 1080p HD-quality content to the Vidio XTP appliance. The appliance can handle massive amounts of audio and video data, wrap it into a secure stream, and send it directly to the proprietary Smith Micro cloud.
The solution maximizes security by broadcasting only one-way, outbound video streaming. In order to deliver the most secure video possible, remote viewers will not be able to stream content back through the network.
After the Vidio XTP appliance sends the secure stream to the Smith Micro cloud, the package is unwrapped and transcoded—on the fly—and prepared for external viewers. A second layer of security is also deployed, restricting access to authenticated and invited users. Once validated, Vidio XTP detects and delivers the best telepresence content format to the end user’s device.
